London terror attack victim’s last travel article to be published – New York Post

The grief stricken boyfriend of an Australian nurse and aspiring travel writer — who was hailed as a hero after she died trying to save victims of the London Bridge terror attack — has arranged for her last article to be published.

Before she was killed last June, Kirsty Boden, 28, had completed a piece about the trip she and James Hodder, had taken to Hungary, the Sunday Times of London reported.

Hodder told the paper he suffered through a period of “despair and hopelessness’’ after Boden — who has been hailed as the “Angel of London Bridge’’ — was murdered in June.

Later, the 30-year-old contacted the British newspaper and offered her article. It appears in Sunday’s travel section.

The piece jokes about how the two got lost in the Lukacs Baths in Budapest.

“There’s a rhythm to Budapest bathing,” Kirsty wrote. “The Hungarians around us moved from tepid bath to hot steam room to cold plunge pool in a dreamlike state, deep in conversation, as if spa choreography was something they had acquired at birth.”

Heartbreakingly, it ends by saying she plans to return to Hungary and visit the baths again and try — but not too hard — not to get lost again.

“After all, that unfathomable layout is part of their charm,” she wrote.

Hodder said the two had planned to marry and chosen the song for the first dance at their wedding. It was to have been “Thinking Out Loud’’ by Ed Sheeran. It was played to mourners at Kirsty’s funeral in Australia.

He told the newspaper he’s certain she would have become a successful writer.

“I can’t tell you how much [the publication of her article] means to me and her family,” he said. “You’ve made us all very happy.”

The attack by three jihadis left eight people dead and 48 injured.
