LINWOOD — “How do I win at mini-golf, because that’s all I will be playing?” asked Miss New Jersey 2017 Kaitlyn Schoeffel as she talked to a golf professional at the Linwood Country Club early Sunday evening.

Arriving in green and white Jitney’s, all 51 Miss America contestants walked onto the private 18-hole course ready to take their swings at driving, chipping and putting.

For some it was the first time on a golf course, but for others it was just a fun break from the Miss America rehearsals and functions.

Miss North Carolina 2017 Victoria Huggins ditched her wedges in favor of bare feet to help instruct fellow contestants as they chipped onto a green. Huggins golfs with her father when not competing for a crown.
